The District probably has the most restrictive gun laws in America. And the conservatives hate it. The U.S. Court of Appeals has ruled DC’s law is unconstitutional.
Funny, because DC does not have all the rights laid out in the constitution. They don’t have representation in congress, and until LBJ took office, they couldn’t even vote for a president. So how come only certain sections of the constitution apply to DC?
Another thought, Bush says he can violate the consitution because he’s a war time president. And the 109th congress allowed him to get away with that. Another Republican president, Lincoln also suspended habeas corpus. So how come Bush, and his friends, get away with using the constitution to harm people, while the District, can’t protect herself?
